"Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer to the end you get the faster it goes."
-- Andy Rooney or Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Kinda guy imparted coupla cigarette lighters at retirement party,
caught winda shit, I learned to quit touching da hot plate
in that fartbox of a rented room off Los Feliz
where Cohen’s beetle useda pork your wife.
But now we're not getting laid, not getting paid
except some Saturdays when dis jellyhead waits tables
for booze and cruise pityfuck money –- nights’re done when
my cherry convertible under diamond skies, one hand
waving free, dances me to the enda I Love Lucy.
